Everton Files Grealish Guarantee Proposal, But Manchester City Wants Permanent Transfer
JAKARTA - Everton has approached Manchester City to get Jack Grealish. Discussions between the two clubs are still ongoing after The Toffees contacted The Citizens to apply for a loan for one season.
However, Manchester City prefers to negotiate a permanent transfer deal even though it does not rule out the possibility of borrowing.
Grealish, who Manchester City brought in from Aston Villa in 2021 for 100 million, still has a two-year contract remaining at the Etihad Stadium and is ready to be transferred this summer.
The 29-year-old was not included in Pep Guardiola's squad for the 2025 Club World Cup after being told he would find it difficult to get the chance to play the 2025/2026 season.

He returned to training with Guardiola's first team last week and became part of a group participating in an open training session at CFA on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Grealish is an important part of Manchester City who won trebles in 2023, but he has been marginalized from the first team for the past two years.
Before being dropped from the list of players for the 2025 Club World Cup, he was not included in the squad for the final match of the 2024/2025 Premier League season against Fulham.
Everton was the first club to take an official approach for Grealish despite other interest from Premier League and European clubs since the transfer market opened.
