Indonesia's Economy Grows 5.12 Percent, Sri Mulyani Believes BPS Data

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani has a reason why she trusted the data provided by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regarding Indonesia's economic growth of 5.12 percent year on year (yoy) in the second quarter of 2025.

A number of economists actually think that there is something odd about the data submitted by BPS. According to Sri Mulyani, BPS has explained the data, the methodology, and the source of the information.

This was conveyed by Sri Mulyani to reporters at the Merdeka Palace Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 6.
