Review Ofchier Friday: Less 'Nyeleneh' But Full Of Nostalgic
JAKARTA - It took Disney 20 years to continue the story of MAY Friday in MAY Friday. Announced for the first time in 2023, the film directed by Nisha Ganatra can finally be watched by the audience.
In addition to offering a successful fantasy comedy in its first film, mindia Friday also brings together Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis and of course some new characters.
Totalier Friday tells the story of Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) who is preparing to launch her first book as a doctor, while her son Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) becomes a famous pop star manager.
Anna also felt that her life was perfect by finding a new soulmate, Eric Davies (Manny Jacinto) who will be the husband and father of his son, Harper (July Butters).
Difficulties began to occur when Harper had an argument with Lily (Sophia Hammons), Eric's son. At one time, their fight resulted in a bazaar at school.
Even so, Lily and Harper are required to attend a single party for Anna before getting married. An incident made their bodies swapped and plans to thwart marriage began to be executed.
The film rahier Friday still takes the concept of body exchange like its first film, especially since this film makes it even more extreme with a different four-sis exchange. As a result, the funny moments produced occur naturally and become an early interaction that develops between them.

The concept of body exchange is also the beginning of exploration of who they are comedyically. Thanks to their forgetting identity, the comedian naturally happened.
This sequel feels the intention rather than feeling kind of milking because of the growing story concept. Some supporting characters are also nostalgic for the audience.
On the one hand, this film is very entertaining, light, and full of nostalgia. Thanks to the acting banquets of Lohan and Curtis who reminded them of their previous films. No need to think much but the memories are still conveyed.
However, on the other hand, the execution felt old-school a la 2000s. Maybe this is the effect of the nostalgia to be presented, but several times the moment was felt boring.
Despite some of that, the film Right Friday is still intriguing with their story which has quite succeeded in making the space nostalgic even though it is less eccentric than the first version of the film.
The film jurisprudence Friday can be watched in Indonesian cinemas starting Wednesday, August 6.
