Series Of RI 80 Anniversary Events At The Merdeka Palace And Registration Requirements As Participants

YOGYAKARTA - In order to celebrate Independence Day, various agendas will be held by the government during this August. So what are the series of events for the RI 80 Anniversary at the Merdeka Palace?

In addition to the Flag Raising Ceremony and Proclamation Seconds on August 17, 2025 at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, a series of other events will take place throughout August 2025. Starting from the National Prayer, carnival, people's party, to Merdeka Run which is used as the closing of the series of events.

The general public is also allowed to participate in the series of activities.

Below are a series of RI Anniversary ceremonies held at the State Palace:

The series of events will begin with the Flag Order and the Proclamation Text brought from the National Monument (Monas) to the Merdeka Palace. This carnival is run by train dating, escorted by equestrians, and held since 08.00 WIB.

After arriving at the Palace, the event will continue with the Seconds Ceremony of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, which is led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia who is valid as Inspector of Ceremonies. At this moment, the Red and White flag will be flown and read the Proclamation script.

In the afternoon, the Red and White Flag Lowering Ceremony will be held, which also takes place at the Merdeka Palace. As was done in previous years, this ceremony began at around 17.00 WIB.
