Yamaha Gear Ultima's Toughness Proves It Can Sweep Through Jakarta and Bali Without Problems

JAKARTA - Yamaha demonstrated the quality of its newest scooter, the Gear Ultima, through the Gear Ultimate Ride, where the bike's durability was tested from Jakarta to Bali, covering a distance of approximately 1,400 kilometers.

The Jakarta-Bali trip was divided into two parts: Jakarta-Yogyakarta and Yogyakarta-Bali. To demonstrate the Gear Ultima's numerous advantages, the touring route wasn't limited to just one route. There were both north and south routes, each with its own unique challenges, including steep uphill roads like the viral Krakalan climb in Yogyakarta on the southern route.

Rifki Maulana, Public Relations Manager of YRA & Community at PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg, stated that the Gear Ultima is designed to meet the increasingly diverse mobility needs of today's riders, particularly for active young families who still have a strong sense of exploration or enjoy weekend adventures, but also need a reliable vehicle for daily activities such as commuting to the office, taking children to school, and even shopping.

"Therefore, this scooter is The Real Tough Motorcycle that is ready to accompany riders for both daily mobility and long distances with the family," said Rifki Maulana, Public Relations Manager," he said, in a statement to the media, Tuesday, August 6.

This motorcycle offers several advantages when navigating the Jakarta-Bali route.

Powered by a 125cc Blue Core Hybrid engine and a 5.1-liter fuel tank, the Gear Ultima on this tour can travel approximately 320 km, equivalent to a trip from Jakarta to Tegal. The journey will undoubtedly encounter various road conditions, ranging from city traffic jams to uphill roads, resulting in a stop-and-go riding style, much like regular driving.

Practicality

This motorcycle demonstrates its functionality as a practical automatic scooter suitable for daily use or long-distance travel, as it can comfortably accommodate all the touring participants' needs. This is further enhanced by its numerous utility features, including a spacious 18.6-liter trunk, an additional compartment on the front deck, and a multi-purpose rear handlebar that can accommodate a top box or large backpack for additional carrying space.

Comfort

When it comes to comfort, this motorcycle is no slouch. Thanks to the wide seat and generous footwell, riding this versatile scooter is even more comfortable. For example, one touring participant, who is 185 cm tall and weighs around 90 kg, still felt comfortable even though he had to cover an average distance of 135-150 km per day.
