Nadiem Makarim Will Fulfill The KPK's Call Regarding The Google Cloud Corruption Investigation Tomorrow
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Education and Technology Nadiem Makarim will certainly fulfill the summons of investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday, August 7. He is ready to provide information regarding the alleged corruption in the procurement of Google Cloud which is still under investigation.
"Bismillah, come," said Mohammad Ali Nurdin as lawyer for Nadiem Makarim when confirmed by reporters, Wednesday, August 6.
Ali said he would accompany his client when he came to the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. "Tomorrow, 09.00 WIB (Nadiem is present, ed)," he said.
Previously, the KPK confirmed that it would summon Nadiem Makarim as the former Minister of Education and Culture on Thursday, August 7. He will be questioned regarding the investigation into alleged corruption in the procurement of Google Cloud at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
"That's right (will be summoned Thursday, ed)," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Fitroh Rochcahyanto when confirmed by reporters quoted on Wednesday, August 6.
The information regarding Nadiem Makarim's request for information was conveyed by a VOI source since last week. He said the former GoJek boss would be asked to attend the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo admitted that he did not know about the schedule. "We will check the information first later," he told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday night, August 5.

Budi only ensured that investigators would definitely ask for information from parties suspected of knowing about the procurement incident. Anyone who is summoned is asked to cooperate.
"KPK urges anyone who is summoned to be asked for cooperative information to provide information to investigators and in the investigation process," he said.
