BRIN Develops AI-Based Analysis Model To Find Anonymous Writing Owners

JAKARTA The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is developing a technology that can analyze a person's writings. This unique tool was developed with the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Through the Language, Literature and Community Research Center (PR BSK), BRIN stated that this tool was designed to identify various anonymous texts. The goal is to find the author or author of his writings.

Devi Ambarwati Puspitasari, one of the BRIN BSK PR researchers who developed this analysis model, said that this technology is also important for increasing language variation. There is a lot of data that needs to be collected for research needs.

"We want to collect data related to language variations. This turns out to be very important data for forensic linguistic research," Devi said in a webinar entitled Korpus: Future Research, quoted from the BRIN website on Wednesday, August 6.

Devi explained that this analysis model was developed to support the collection and construction of big data. Since 2023, Devi and a team from the Language and Legal Research Group have conducted research and data collection in various locations.

The locations include the State Capital (IKN), Eastern Indonesia, as well as Pontianak and Entikong in West Kalimantan. During this study, the method of Authorship analysis is needed to ensure the authors of their writings.

Using this method, researchers can compare anonymous texts or textes whose writing is questionable. The method will work by examining the reference texts.

We developed an authorization analysis because it already has its AI model. We are moving towards sociolinguistic profiling, namely by further analyzing the texts to collect and identify characteristics of the author or owner of the text, "explained Devi.
