22 Names Proposed To Receive Honorary Signs From Prabowo At The 80th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who is currently serving as Chair of the Committee for the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, said there were 22 names proposed to receive an honorary sign from President Prabowo Subianto this year.
"(The names of the recipients, ed.) are in the finalization of the honors to be finalized. So, the team has conveyed to the President the names proposed for this year to receive awards or honors from the state," Prasetyo said in his statement, Wednesday, August 6.
Of the 22 names proposed to receive the honor mark, Prasetyo said that some of them were cultural observers, politicians, then there were environmental activists, journalists, then community mobilizers in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas.
President Prabowo is scheduled to give honors to individuals, groups, or institutions at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta, on August 13, 2025. The awarding of honors by the President of the Republic of Indonesia is a routine event held in a series of Indonesian Independence Anniversarys.
On a separate occasion, Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro said the names proposed to receive honorary signs this year were discussed by the Council for Titles, Services, and Honors, the results of which would later be submitted to President Prabowo.

The series of events for the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia will be held by the Palace from August 1 to August 24, 2025. The first event to be held to start the series of Independence Months is the National Prayer on August 1, 2025 at the Proclamation Monument, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Then, the event continued with the inauguration ceremony of the Heritage Flag-raising Troops (Paskibraka) on August 13, 2025 at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia, which was followed by the awarding of honors to a number of individuals, groups, and institutions at the State Palace on the same day.
After that, the series of RI's 80th Anniversary was continued with the State Speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia as Head of State at the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI at the MPR Complex, DPR, DPD RI, Senayan, Jakarta, on August 15, 2025.
On the same day, President Prabowo continued to deliver the State Speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in the context of Submission of Government Introductory / Information on the Draft Law on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 along with the Financial Note at the Opening Plenary Meeting of the First Session of the DPR RI for Session Year 2025 2026.
The series of commemorations of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence was then continued with the National Pilgrimage and the Holy Swimming on August 16, 2025 at exactly 00.00 WIB at the Main National Heroes Cemetery of Kalibata in South Jakarta.
The peak of the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia took place on August 17, 2025, centered at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. This year's proclamation commemoration ceremony is chaired for the first time by President Prabowo Subianto.
After the ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace, President Prabowo opened the door to the Indonesian Presidential Palace for the People's Party on August 17, 2025. Various foods and drinks were served free of charge by the community participating in the ceremony during the People's Party, which was the first time it was held during the Indonesian Independence Day at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia.
