Kapolda And Deputy Chief Of Metro Jaya Police Compactly Replaced
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo rotated and transferred a number of his staff, including two leaders at Polda Metro Jaya
This transfer of position is stated in the Secret Telegram Letter (STR) which is registered with the number ST/1764/V/KEP./2025, dated August 5, 2025.
The head of the Polda Metro Jaya in question is the Kapolda Inspector General Karyoto. At the STR, he was appointed as Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam).
With this appointment, Karyoto received an promotion to become a Commissioner General (Komjen) or a three-star.
Karyoto replaces Komjen Fadil Imran who is rotated to serve as Astamaops Chief of Police. Meanwhile, the position of Kapolda Metro Jaya will be filled by Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri.
It is known that Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri previously served as Deputy Head of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Wakabareskrim).
Then, the leadership of Polda Metro Jaya who was also replaced was Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Century who previously served as Deputy Chief of Police.
In the STR, Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Century was appointed as the North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief to replace Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto who entered retirement or retirement.
Meanwhile, the position of Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police left by Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto is now held by Brigadier General Dekanato Eko Purwono.
Regarding this mutation process, the Public Relations of the Police, Inspector General Shandi Nugroho said it was commonplace in the organization. Because, it aims to refresh and develop the career of police officers.
"Deputy mutation is a natural process in the organization as a form of refreshment, career development, and fulfillment of organizational needs," said Shandi.
In the STR, there were originally 61 personnel who were transferred and their positions rotated, ranging from the Deputy Chief of Police to the seven regional police chiefs.
