Komdigi Adds Six Study Programs At STMM Yogyakarta To Prepare Digital Talenta
JAKARTA - Yogyakarta Multi Media High School (STMM) managed by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, added six new study programs, to answer industrial needs and strengthen Indonesia's position in the digital economy.
The six new study programs are S2 Implemented Digital Leadership, Digital Engineering Profession, D4 Digital Technology, D4 Digital Public Services, D4 Frequency Controlling, and D4 Communication and Digital Media.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, said the addition of a study program in the digital field is a solution to prepare competent and competitive digital talents.
"These six new study programs are not only for us to add programs, but also part of strategic solutions to overcome the needs of digital skills in today and the future," he said.
According to him, digitalization has triggered the loss of job opportunities that are routine and demand the existence of workers with higher digital skills.
Therefore, to answer these challenges, Nezar added, an approach is needed from upstream through higher education.

"We need to answer from the upstream side, from upstream, namely preparing a more skilled workforce with the need for digital skills in the present and future," said Nezar further.
Not to forget, Nezar also emphasized the importance of implementing a three-pillar based strategy in the preparation of the curriculum, namely the ocupation-based curriculum, synergy between ministries, and sustainable development of skills.
"Because of digital transformation and advances, this technology is so fast, and demands that each individual continue to renew their skills," he concluded.
