After Being Examined, The Police Called The Kembangan Gas Station Officer Wrongly Filled In The Solar Tank With Pertalite

JAKARTA - A number of motorized vehicles experienced a sudden strike after refueling at the Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) located in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta.

This incident sparked a stir on social media on Monday, August 4, 2025. Meanwhile, motorists complained about the mass strike incident.

After receiving the viral report, the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim and the Kembangan Police immediately moved quickly to the location to check directly at the gas station concerned.

"We have sent a team to conduct an inspection at the location. In addition, we also summoned the gas station management for questioning and a BAP process was carried out," said Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Arfan Zulkan Sipayung when confirmed, Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

In addition, his party has also dispatched a team to investigate the exact cause of the incident.

From the results of the initial information collected, it was known that the cause of the strike was suspected to be due to an error while filling the underground gas station tank.

"There are allegations that there was an error in refueling by gas station employees. The diesel fuel should have been filled into the solar fuel planting tank, this misentered the Pertalite tank," he said.

Currently, the location of the gas station has been given a police line for further investigation.

The police are also coordinating with Pertamina and the gas station to investigate the element of negligence or crime in this incident. The case is still being handled by the West Jakarta Metro Police.
