Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri Becomes Metro Police Chief, Replaces Inspector General Karyoto Who Rises Three Stars
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo rotated dozens of his staff. One of them is Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri who was appointed to the position of Metro Jaya Police Chief.
The appointment is contained in a secret telegram (STR) issued dated August 5, 2025.
"Kapolda Metro Jaya ( served) Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, Tuesday, August 5.
Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri previously served as Wakabareskrim. He will replace the position of Inspector General Karyoto who was appointed to fill the position as Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam).
With this appointment, Karyoto received an promotion to become a Commissioner General (Komjen) or a three-star.

Regarding the mutation and rotation process, Shandi said it was normal in the organization. Because, it aims to refresh and develop the career of members of the police.
