Nugie LIKEs Nirina Zubir's Acting To 'Call In Grave', A Segenerate Friend

JAKARTA - Nugie and Nirina Zubir were paired as husband and wife in the film Dyan Sunu Prastowo, Call from Grave. As fellow artists of the 90s, Nugie was happy to be united with his old friend.

"To Nirina, who is an old friend, even before we were both married, went out together and had fun and our idols were 90s as one of the VJs at a well-known music station, we were really disbursed even though we had never acted together," Nugie told VOI on Tuesday, August 5.

Therefore, there is no awkwardness between the two even though they have never acted together. Nugie thinks both of them know about written agreements.

"But because there is a similarity in the history of the 90 generation, there is a kind of unwritten agreement for musicals, meaning music or scenes like you don't need much jaim," he said.

"We really opened up, fair, until finally Nirina and I learned a lot about exploring the character in the Call From the Grave," continued Nugie.

He also praised Nirina Zubir who was considered to have a varied track record of acting. Nirina herself won the 2024 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) thanks to her acting.

She has an extraordinary track record. The desire that was finally loved by ulama arrived. When it was first announced, I immediately published it on Instagram. It was like meeting an old friend and in intense production. We act as husband and are very sophisticated Nirina, the best," he said.

Nugie plays Raka, the husband of Alya (Nirina Zubir) who suffers a sad fate after their son, Yasmin (Firzanah Alya) dies.

The film Call From Grave will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting August 14.
