Apple Music 5.0 Beta Presents IOS 26 Features To Android

JAKARTA - Ahead of the iOS 26 launch this fall, Apple Music for Android is now testing a beta 5.0.0 that brings some new features and design changes.

Unfortunately, the Android app hasn't got the Liquid Glass design with the bottom bar and Now Playing controls floating like on iOS. This is certainly less than ideal for the uniformity of the inter-platform display, but it is hoped that future updates will introduce it.

Even so, there are some touch of the new design, such as a pill-shaped button replacing the round-ended rectangular button previously used. For example, the shuffle, repeat, and autoplay buttons at the top of the line now have a new design. Likewise the Play and shuffle buttons on the album page. However, the main screen widget hasn't changed yet.

One of the main features on Apple Music 5.0 is Pin Music to Your Library. This feature allows users to 'strengthen' their favorite songs, albums, playlists, or artists to always be at the top of their music library for easier access.

This feature can be synchronized between Apple devices, although sometimes it needs to embed or remove one item so that all the items being spined can appear.

Once embedded, the user can long press the Library tab to remove the pin, as well as set the tap action, such as opening an album, playing, or shuffle. The embedded pin can also be automatically downloaded, but this option can be disabled in the settings.

In addition, the app's opening screen display also highlights new features such as:

Translation And Lirik Speaker: Makes it easier for users to understand lyrics and sing in various languages.

The backplay in the App: Monitoring your music statistics monthly and year-end directly from the app.
