National Police Chief Appoints Komjen Dedi Prasetyo As Deputy Chief Of Police
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially appointed Komjen Dedi Prasetyo as Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Wakapolri).
The appointment was stated in a secret telegram (STR) dated August 5, 2025.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, confirmed the transfer or appointment of high-ranking officers (pati) to fill the position of Deputy Chief of Police who had been vacant after Komjen Ahmad Dofiri retired.
"It's true, Komjen Dedi Prasetyo as Deputy Chief of Police," said Shandi, Tuesday, August 5.
Komjen Dedi Prasetyo diketahui sebelumnya menjabat sebagai Irwasum Polri. Ia merupakan lulusan Akpol 1990 ini pengalaman dalam bidang reserse.

Regarding the mutation process, Shandi said it was commonplace in the organization. Because, it aims to refresh and develop the police career.
"Deputy mutation is a natural process in the organization as a form of refreshment, career development, and fulfillment of organizational needs," said Shandi.
