Minister Imipas Confirms Patrol Task Force Supervised By Foreigners In Bali
DENPASAR - Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) Agus Andrianto confirmed the Immigration Patrol Task Force (Satgas) together with joint forces to supervise foreign nationals (WNA) who do not comply with the rule of law and culture in Bali.
"This task force is to maintain security, order and sovereignty and state authority," said Minister Imipas on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Immigration Patrol Task Force at Benoa Port, Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, August 5.
As many as 100 Immigration officers were deployed in the task force supported by joint forces including the TNI, Polri, Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), to traditional Balinese security officers or Pecalang who participated in the inauguration.
In carrying out their duties, each Immigration personnel will be equipped with a safety vest and camera on the officer's body and will patrol using a motorbike or immigration patrol car.
There are 10 strategic locations located in the work areas of the Ngurah Rai and Denpasar Immigration Offices which are the main targets, including North Kuta or Canggu, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Matahari Terbit and Benoa Ports, Pecatu including Uluwatu, Bingin, Mertasari Beach, Kuta and Gianyar Districts including Ubud and Nusa Dua, and Jimbaran.
The Immigration Patrol Task Force is on duty from 1-31 August 2025 and has the opportunity to be extended according to needs.
"If there are less personnel, we will add more. If there is less than one month, we will add more, until Bali is orderly," he said.
In addition to patrolling to monitor the presence and activities of foreigners, the task force can also take action against foreigners who are suspected of violating immigration.
The Task Force can also temporarily store immigration documents for foreigners suspected of committing violations and securing or bringing the foreigner along as immigration measures if necessary.

Based on statistical data nationally, the Directorate General of Immigration has taken immigration administrative action (TAK) in the form of deportation as many as 607 cases and detention of 303 cases in the period November-December 2024.
This figure increased rapidly in the January-July 2025 period with 2,669 deportations and 2,009 detentions.
Meanwhile, the number of foreigners who were prosecuted during the November 2024-July 2025 period reached 62 people.
The inauguration was also attended by Bali Governor Wayan Koster, Commander of Kodam IX Udayana Major General TNI Piek Budyakto, Deputy Head of Bali Police Brigadier General Police I Komang Sandi Arsana, ranks of the Bali High Prosecutor's Office, Bali DPRD and related regional apparatus organizations (OPD) in the Bali Provincial Government.
