IPhone 17 Launch Date Leaked By German Wireless Operator

JAKARTA - A new report citing an internal source of mobile operators claims that Apple will launch the iPhone 17 series on a previously rumored date.

This report is in line with previous reports that the launch will take place in the early hours of September 8, 2025. Apple Insider noted that, as a form of respect for the 9/11 event, Apple had never held a launch event on September 11 or Friday. Therefore, September 12 is also impossible to choose.

According to the German website, the iPhone Ticket, the country's mobile operator has been notified that the launch event will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. This report is claimed to come from several operators, perhaps to strengthen their credibility or protect sources of information.

In addition, it is stated that pre-orders will begin on Friday, September 10, 2025, while the first shipment will arrive in the hands of customers on September 20. On the same date, the iPhone 17 will also be available for purchase directly at the store.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The Plus model was previously reportedly stopped and replaced by the slimmer iPhone 17 Air.

This year may be the last time Apple has launched all its main iPhone models at once. The reason is, it is reported that the iPhone 16e will be changed every year in the spring, and Apple will divide its launch into two times.

If true, September will be devoted to Pro's models which in 2026 may include iPhone Folds while regular and Air models will launch in spring.

Apple is also expected to launch the Apple Watch Series 11 at the event on September 9, 2025. Last year, the pre-order of Apple Watch opened on the same day as its launch announcement.
