DKI Satpol PP Has Not Found One Piece Flag Raising In Jakarta
JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Satriadi Gunawan emphasized that his party had not yet received any findings or reports of raising the pirate flag from the anime and One Piece manga in Jakarta which is now being questioned by the government.
"Until now there have been no reports related to the One Piece flag, no action has been taken. We are still monitoring it, but until now there has been no report," said Satriadi when met at Taman Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 5.
Satriadi admitted that his party did not have any action plans if they found the One Piece flag installed ahead of Independence Day. Satpol PP, according to Satriadi, needs to coordinate with the police first.
"That's why now because it doesn't exist yet, we can't talk yet. The development will have to be coordinated with the police, all kinds of things, yes," said Satriadi.
On this matter, Satriadi asked the public to continue to install Sang Saka Merah Putih to welcome the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
"We appeal to the public, because now we are reminding the anniversary of independence, so it is better to fly the Red and White Flag," he explained.
The narrative of raising the One Piece flag has appeared in the last few days, in the midst of preparations for the celebration of Indonesia's 80th Anniversary. On social media, there was also a lot of uploads of black One Piece flag photos with a skull symbol and straw hat, which was later named Jolly Roger.

The flag is a typical symbol of the pirate group led by Monkey D. Luffy, the main character in the story by Eiichiro Oda. The Morning Roger flag, citing onepiece.fandom.com, is not only a symbol of power, but also called voicing freedom, personal belief, and friendship.
Meanwhile, the GameRant page says One Piece has successfully communicated well that Jolly Roger is not just a pirate flag, but the lifeblood of the crew. So, these designs realize the ideals and strengths of each crew in this series.
The narrative of the raising of the pirate flag from the One Piece manga has been responded to by the government's skepticism. The Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan, said that this action was a form of provocation that could reduce the authority and status of the Red and White Flag.
"As a great nation that respects history, we should all exercise restraint, and not provoke with symbols that are irrelevant to the nation's struggle," said Budi Gunawan, some time ago.
When the feeling of raising the One Piece flag expanded on social media, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad reminded that there are systematic efforts that have the potential to divide the unity and integrity of the nation.
"We also detect and also get input from security institutions, indeed there are efforts, yes, to divide the unity and integrity of the nation," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan.
