KPK Will Follow Up Reports Of Alleged Service Corruption To Reduction Of 2025 Hajj Pilgrims Catering
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it would follow up on reports of alleged service corruption to the reduction of hajj catering in 2025. This report was submitted by Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW).
"Every complaint report received by the KPK will then be verified for the validity of the information and information submitted by the reporter," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, August 5.
After verification, continued Budi, a review and analysis will be carried out. This step aims to explore whether or not there are corruption incidents that can be handled.
"The series of processes in public complaints is information that cannot be submitted to the public (excepted, ed)," he said.
"The progress of the follow-up can only be conveyed to the complainant as a form of accountability," continued Budi.
Meanwhile, the KPK is also known to be investigating allegations of corruption in the hajj quota. A number of parties, including those from the internal Ministry of Religion and travel agents, have been questioned.

As previously reported, Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) reported allegations of corruption related to the implementation of the Hajj to the KPK. There is a state administrator and two employees who they call involved.
There are two points of report submitted by ICW. First, regarding community or public services for pilgrims following the process from Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.
Then the second is related to reducing the consumption specifications of the pilgrims.
