Visiting Islamic Boarding School In Pamekasan, National Police Chief Asks Ulama For Advice About Protecting The Republic Of Indonesia
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked the ulama for advice regarding guarding the Republic of Indonesia when visiting the Al-Hamidy Banyuanyar Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Pamekasan, Madura, East Java.
The National Police Chief said this visit was important because it could hear input from the ulama regarding the task of the National Police in protecting the Republic of Indonesia, namely protecting the public.
"The National Police are always together and close to scholars because for us umara and ulama are the main guards related to domestic security and social security issues and the Republic of Indonesia," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 5.
The National Police Chief said he always advised his staff at all levels to always stay in touch and close to figures without the support and assistance of ulama, police work would be tough.
The National Police Chief also entrusted his members. He also asked the ulama to provide input and advice to the ranks of its members.
"If something is lacking, please give input because we believe, the advice of the ulama is very important for strength for all of us in that we give service to the community," he said.
Finally, the National Police Chief prayed for the caretaker of the Al-Hamidy Banyuanyar Islamic Boarding School, RKH Mohammad Rofi'i Baidhowi, to be given strength and health. He also hopes that this visit will not be the last time for the Police.
"We are very grateful to be accepted with a very extraordinary welcome and hopefully this will not be our first visit, but there will also be our next meeting," he said.
The National Police Chief, when he arrived at the Al-Hamidy Islamic Boarding School, was escorted by three horses and greeted with hadroh's appearance and flowers were wrapped by Kyai Rofi'i.
"We are all happy to have such an extraordinary welcome, greeted with a very dashing horse when we entered," he said.

Kiai who was present at the pesantren were the caretaker of the Miftahul Ulum Ulum Islamic Boarding School, RKH Mudasir Badrodin, the caretaker of the Mambaul Ulum Bata-bata Islamic Boarding School RKH Faisol, the caretaker of the Darul Ulum West Banyuanyar Islamic Boarding School RKH Hasbullah, and the caretaker of the Nubdatul Bayan Islamic Boarding School Al Majidiyah Palduding RKH Abdul Mu'min Bayan.
