Police Investigate The Case Of A White Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Driver Who Claimed To Be A Police Officer At The Grand Indonesia Mall Parking Lot
Central Jakarta Metro Police conducted an investigation regarding an argument between the driver of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and another driver in the parking lot of Grand Indonesia Mall, Central Jakarta. Because, in the viral video recording on social media, the Pajero driver claimed to be a police officer.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the incident was allegedly triggered by the fight over the parking entrance which sparked the anger of one of the motorists.
The incident is known to have occurred on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The Central Jakarta Metro Police Opsnal Team followed up on the viral report.
"Officers came to the location and asked for information from security officers and a number of witnesses at the scene," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Currently, the case is still in the process of being thoroughly investigated.
"Our team has checked at the TKP and coordinated with witnesses and mall security. It is suspected that this incident occurred due to a misunderstanding between motorists," he said.
The figure of the driver who went viral drove a white Mitsubishi Pajero Sport with police number B 2397 SJJ had claimed to be a police officer.
"We will continue to investigate to see if there is an element of violating the law," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Kompol Haris Akhmad Basuki, explained that his party had also taken further steps to ensure the handling process was transparent.
"We urge the public to continue to prioritize traffic ethics and not to be easily provoked by emotions, especially in public spaces that are prone to being in the spotlight. All problems should be resolved properly," he said.
The police are still conducting further investigations and do not rule out the possibility of summoning the driver concerned for clarification purposes.
Previously, it was reported that a man in a black shirt was suspected of being Fortuner's car driver and claimed to be a police officer suddenly went viral on Instagram social media.
The man claimed to be a police officer after being involved in an argument with a car driver at a mall in the Central Jakarta area.
"I am a police officer. How can you see," said the man in the shirt, scaring the car driver, quoted Monday, August 4, 2025.
