Oil Well In Subang Explodes, Pertamina Opens Voice

PT Pertamina EP Subang Field confirmed the incident at the Gas line CO2 Removal that occurred at Subang Collection Station, Cidahu Village, West Pagaden District, Subang Regency, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at around 04.30 WIB.

Pertamina Communication Relation & CID Manager EP Pinto Budi Bowo Laksono said, at 06.41 WIB the fire was successfully extinguished by the Pertamina EP Subang Field Emergency Management Team, which moved quickly to carry out technical handling by extinguishing the source of the fire and carrying out mitigation measures to control the conditions.

"All handling steps are carried out in accordance with the standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) implemented by the Company," he said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, August 5.

In the incident, two workers suffered burns and were fully conscious. The two victims received the first treatment at Hamori Subang Hospital. The victim was then referred to a hospital in Jakarta for further treatment and treatment.

"Pertamina EP ensures that the situation at the location remains safe and under control. Pertamina EP has formed an investigation team to find out the cause of this incident," said Pinto.
