Monchengladbach Coach Doesn't Put Aside Kevin Diks' Opportunity To Enter The Main Team
JAKARTA - Borussia coach Monchengladbach, Gerardo Seoane, did not rule out the possibility of putting Kevin Diks in the first team in the 2025/2026 season. This reflects on the player's performance on the pre-season agenda.
In the last test match, Sunday, August 3, 2025, Borussia Monchengladbach won over Valencia 2-0. In that match, the Indonesian National Team defender, Kevin Diks, contributed one goal via penalty.
On the other hand, the team's victory must be paid for with the injury of their young talent, Wael Mohya. Luckily, senior players like Kevin were able to bring the team to victory.
"Wael (Mohya) has adapted very well, now we have to wait for his diagnosis. When he had to leave the field, unfortunately, we couldn't include anyone as a substitute."

"Because we have experienced players like Julian Weigl, Kevin Diks, and Jonas Omlin on the field, we were able to achieve positive results," Seoane said about the condition of his team, quoted from Bild, Monday, August 4, 2025.
The Swiss coach revealed that he will continue to experiment to determine the first team in the 2025/2026 competition. Regarding player choices, Kevin Diks is said to have a great opportunity to enter the starting XI Borussia Monchengladbach due to his pre-season performance.
"We will continue to field a lot of players, but 60 to 70 percent of the squad we will see are those who will start in competitive matches," Seoane said.
Borussia Monchengladbach will still undergo a test match against Brentford, Saturday, August 9, 2025. After that, they will only open a new season against Atlas Delmenhorst, August 17, 2025, at the DFB Pokal and meet the Hamburger SV, August 24, 2025, in the 2025/2026 Bundesliga.
