VOI Today: Prohibition Of Raising Flags And Eliminating One Piece Murals, Anti-Criticism Government?
Approaching the celebration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day, the viral video of the One Piece flag was installed at home and vehicles as a symbol of resistance to government policies that were considered not pro-people.
Not only that, the mural of the 'One Piece' flag was even depicted on the village road in Sragen, Central Java, before it was finally deleted.
In fact, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming often wore One Piece pins during the 2024 presidential election campaign period.
The One Piece flag-raising action as a form of public criticism of the government immediately sparked a reaction from the central government. The Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan, officially banned the raising of the One Piece flag one pole under the Red and White Flag because it violated Law Number 24 of 2009.
The question is, how should the government respond to public criticism conveyed in creative ways like this? Check out the full information on VOI.id.
