Temporary List Of 11 Indonesian Representatives For The World Championships

JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) officially released a temporary list of Indonesian representatives who will play in the 2025 Badminton World Championships.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on August 25-31, 2025 at Adidas Arena, Paris, France. In the temporary list released, Indonesia sent a total of only 11 representatives.

Unlike the BWF World Tour series, the World Championships are only followed by top players. Therefore, the names departing are those who have been Indonesia's mainstay.

From the men's singles sector, Indonesia will rely on Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. The last name has just recovered from shoulder problems which kept him out for six months.

There are two names for the women's singles, namely Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani. The first name is also a comeback after being investigated by health problems.

Then, the men's doubles became the sector with the most representatives on the list, including Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto who returned to the duet.

Fajar previously played with Muhammad Shohibul Fikri. The two duo at the Japan Open 2025 Super 750 and 2025 Super 1000 China Open, which led to the title.

In addition, there are also non-Pelatnas PBSI couples, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, and the pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana.

Then in the Indonesian women's doubles, they will rely on the Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

Furthermore, the last two representatives are Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari. This year's World Championship will be Jafar/Felisha's debut.
