Japanese Band Kroi Records Music Videos With 40 IPhones
JAKARTA A multi-genre band from Tokyo, Kroi, has made a breakthrough by releasing their latest music video for the song "Method" which was fully recorded using 40 units of the iPhone 16 Pro. This innovative video not only serves as a visual treat for fans, but also as an impressive practical demo of the ability of "Shot on iPhone".
This ambitious project involved about 40,000 US dollars (approximately IDR 655 million) in iPhone form, demonstrating the huge potential of mobile devices in the production of professional content.
Apple also appreciated this effort, where Greg "Joz" Joswiak, senior vice president of marketing Apple, shared behind-the-scenes videos showing the device's setup process through platform X.

In the music video, the iPhone is not only posted in front of the band members, but is also attached to keyboards, guitars, and even hung from the ceiling to get a unique point of view. The results are a variety of interesting shots, including views from above and an instrument-high point of view that provides an immersive experience for viewers.
The music video "Method" has attracted widespread attention, gathering 5.1 million views since its release. With about 265,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Kroi continues to build a solid fan base with their creative approach.
The use of many iPhones for video production seems to be a new trend in the entertainment industry. Recently, the zombie horror film "28 Years Later" was also reportedly using a special rig that utilizes 20 iPhones for just one shot, underlining the growing popularity of this technique.
