Dasco Calls The Meeting With Megawati Congratulating The PDIP Plus Congress Congratulates The Election Law

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP who is also Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, revealed his meeting with the PDIP General Chair and 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri to congratulate President Prabowo Subianto who is also the Gerindra Chairman at the PDIP 6th Congress.

"The message from Pak Prabowo as the General Chair of the Party (Gerindra) to me to convey to Mrs. Mega. First, is a congratulation of the congress," Dasco said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 4.

Because, he said, the 6th PDIP Congress which was held in Bali was held behind closed doors without inviting external parties from other political parties.

"Because PDIP did not invite outsiders, including the general chairmen, on that occasion Pak Prabowo as general chairman left a message of congratulations to the congress," he said.

Dasco also said that during the meeting the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi also conveyed a message from President Prabowo to Megawati regarding the Bung Karno Museum.

"For the Minister of State Secretary, there is a message from the President (to convey) to Mrs. Mega that there are several things regarding the Bung Karno museum," he said.

Dasco explained that during the meeting his party also conveyed a message regarding President Prabowo's views on the Election Law.

"Some things are related to the issue of the Election Law," he said.

He also said that currently the political party factions in parliament were still conducting simulations internally before the discussion on the revision of the Election Law was discussed in Commission II of the DPR.

"Each party is conducting a simulation. Well, later after the recess comes in, we will synergize it in Commission II of course," he said.

At the same location, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo's message regarding the Election Law submitted in his meeting with Megawati was related to the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which separates national elections and regional elections.

He said the message he conveyed included President Prabowo's view as head of government, as well as the leader of political parties.

"When it comes to the Election Law, the President as the head of state and the head of government certainly has a view on the results of the Constitutional Court's decision," said Prasetyo Hadi.

He then said, Second, personally; in his capacity as chairman of one of the political parties, namely the Gerindra party, of course also has views so that in communicating with other party leaders, one of them must also discuss, convey these views.

Previously, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, uploaded a photo of a meeting with PDIP General Chair and 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri, after announcing the DPR's approval for granting amnesty to PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

The photo was uploaded via Dasco's Instagram account (@sufmi_dasco), Thursday (31/7) night, at around 23.00 WIB. From the uploaded photo, Dasco was seen with the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, meeting with Megawati, the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, and the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Prananda Prabowo. However, from the upload, Dasco only included a statement, namely "Merajut Tali Kebangsaan dan Brotherhood". He also did not explain the location and timing of the meeting on the photo upload.

The photo shows them sitting in a living room with a table in the middle. However, the house's room is different from the portrait of the house where Dasco and Megawati met before.
