SpaceX Launches 28 Starlink Satellites, Completes Megaconstellation In Orbit
JAKARTA SpaceX has re-launched dozens of Starlink satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The company owned by Elon Musk successfully launched its internet satellite on Monday, August 8 from Florida.
Starlink was launched using a Falcon 9 rocket from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. With the launch of 28 new Starlink satellites, SpaceX has now successfully launched Falcon 9 96 times.
About 8.5 minutes after launch, the first-stage booster of the Falcon 9 rocket landed on Earth. The booster arrived in the Atlantic Ocean, to be precise landing on a drone ship specifically for a booster landing.
The booster rocket used, known as the B-1080 code, has made 21 flights, including in the latest Starlik launches. Of the dozens of launches, 15 of them were part of the Starlink mission.

After the booster lands, the top stage of the Falcon 9 rocket continues to advance. All of these launched satellites are expected to arrive in orbit about 64 minutes after launch to join other satellites already in the constellation.
With this addition, the constellation Starlink is now getting bigger. SpaceX now runs more than 8,000 satellites to channel the internet throughout the country, including to areas that have difficulty reaching the internet.
This launch shows that SpaceX continues to be committed to developing its global internet network. The Starlink network is designed to provide high-speed internet access, directly from space.
