Horror Game "BrokenLore: DON'T WATCH" Coming to Consoles on August 18th
JAKARTA - Following its success on Steam, the psychological horror game BrokenLore: DON'T WATCH has been confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox consoles starting August 18, 2025.
"Due to the positive reception of the Steam version, Shochiku Co., Ltd., through its Shochiku Games unit, announces that the psychological horror game BrokenLore: DON'T WATCH will be released on PlayStation and Xbox," wrote publisher Shochiku Games in its announcement.
Developed by Serafini Productions, the game will take players into the mind of Shinji, a young man living alone in his Tokyo apartment.
Haunted by the pressures of life and feeling alienated from his family, Shinji slowly sinks into a strange and terrifying world, where the hundred-eyed creature "Hyakume" lurks.
"Hunted by debt and misunderstood by his family, Shinji feels increasingly disconnected from the world—until players begin to delve into Shinji's disturbed inner world," the developer explained in the game's description.
Here, players are equipped with only a laptop as their only access to the outside world. The game supports Japanese audio and text, and is part of the BrokenLore series, which will continue with BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW.
The console version is priced at 1,430 yen (approximately Rp155,000), and is available for play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Developer Sebastiano Serafini also contributed the voice acting for the ending theme song and described this launch as the beginning of a broader expansion to console platforms. The official soundtrack is also now available on Steam.
