Mitsubishi Destination Greet Makassar City People To Balikpapan
JAKARTA - PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), the official distributor of passenger vehicles and light commerce from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MC) in Indonesia, brought his latest model, All New Destination, to travel around Indonesia.
The Premium SUV, which debuted globally in Indonesia, will visit 10 major cities in Indonesia through the Mitsubishi Motors Large Auto Show exhibition. After Yogyakarta, Bandung, Palembang, and Denpasar and several other cities, this latest model was presented directly in Makassar City and Balikpapan, starting on August 1, 2025.
Mitsubishi Motors President and CEO Takao Kato said All New Destination is an SUV for seven passengers designed to encourage families to start an adventure comfortably. The model also marks the third global strategic model that was born in Indonesia, after the Xpander MPV crossover, and the SUV compact, Xforce, and will be marketed globally with a focus on the ASEAN region.
"Our operation in Indonesia is the main pillar in Mitsubishi Motors' business, and by expanding the production and sales of Destinations and other models, we are committed to continuing to contribute to the growth of the Indonesian automotive industry and the local economy, while presenting vehicles that inspire and satisfy customers around the world," he said, in a statement to the media, Monday, August 4.

In Balikpapan, the Mitsubishi Destination launch was carried out at Penta City Mall Balikpapan. The public can see, explore, and carry out Mitsubishi Destinator tests directly in the exhibition area. The launch was attended by Yoshio Igarashi, Director of Sales & Marketing of PT MMKSI, as well as dealers in the Balikpapan area, namely Steven Pancaputra, Deputy Director of Dwindo Group.
Balikpapan is one of the launch locations for the Mitsubishi Motors regional because its position is included in the marketing area of East Kalimantan and Balikpapan City, which contributed 5 percent to the national sales of passenger vehicles and light trading Mitsubishi Motors. Furthermore, the East Kalimantan and Balikpapan City areas are expected to contribute 6 percent to the sales of the Mitsubishi Destination model, nationally.
For the price of OTR Balikpapan and Kalimantan, the GLX variant is priced at Rp. 389 million, then for the Exceed variant it is at Rp. 409 million, while for Ultimate it is Rp. 469 million.
