Here's How The DKI Provincial Government Supervises Residents Who Want To Local Homecoming

JAKARTA - The government has agreed to participate in banning local homecoming in one urban agglomeration area during this year's Eid homecoming period. There are 8 agglomeration areas, namely Medan Raya, Jabodetabek, Bandung Raya, Semarang Raya, Yogyakarta Raya, Solo Raya, Surabaya Raya, and Makassar Raya.

It's just that, that does not mean that transportation activities are also prohibited. This is because there is a need for a shuttle trip that must be facilitated. Travelers who are still in an agglomeration area do not need an Exit and Entry Permit (SIKM) or an assignment letter when there is an official trip.

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that his party has 8 checkpoints or blockages on arterial roads. The lockdowns started from Kalideres, Joglo, Pondok kelapa, Panasonic, Perintis Kemerdekaan, Pasar Jumat, Cakung-Cilincing toll road, and Budi Luhur.

"For example, yesterday, when inspecting 8 checkpoints in Jakarta, 19 four-wheeled riders were categorized as homecoming on their journey. So, we asked him to make a U-turn", said Syafrin when contacted, Friday, May 7.

Then, how do you distinguish homecoming people and travelers from non-homecoming destinations in one agglomeration area, especially in the capital city? Syafrin answered that his staff had captured the characteristics of travelers from last year's experience.

"Our experience yesterday, during the inspection, the characteristics of the travelers are a lot of goods for homecoming purposes and the vehicle is quite busy. As soon as you see a car that already has a lot of luggage, it is immediately stopped and checked", explained Syafrin.

"There was a car without a lot of luggage, then checked, when asked for their homecoming, because the passengers were quite busy, they immediately turned it around", he continued.

Therefore, even though it is still in an agglomeration area, Syafrin asked the people of DKI to stop homecoming to their hometowns this year.
