Ridwan Kamil and Lisa Mariana Will Undergo DNA Testing at the Criminal Investigation Agency, with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Involved
JAKARTA - Former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil is scheduled to undergo a DNA sample collection at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) on Thursday, August 7.
This test is related to the investigation into the alleged defamation case he filed against Lisa Mariana.
This information was confirmed by Ridwan Kamil's attorney, Muslim Jaya Butarbutar, when contacted by VOI in Jakarta on Monday, August 4.
"Our client has received an invitation from the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) to undergo a DNA sample collection on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time," said Muslim.
In addition to Ridwan Kamil, investigators have also summoned two other parties to undergo similar tests: Lisa Mariana and CA, Lisa's daughter.
Muslim stated that the DNA testing process will be supervised by external parties, including the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), to ensure the independence and objectivity of the test results.
"Because this involves DNA testing, it is important to ensure that the results are beyond doubt by all parties. We welcome the presence of the KPAI as an independent supervisor," he said.
He added that his client would respect the results of the DNA test, whatever the decision.
"Mr. Ridwan Kamil will accept the results with maturity and full responsibility. This demonstrates his commitment to law enforcement," said Muslim.
Ridwan Kamil previously reported Lisa Mariana to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) on April 11, 2025, for alleged defamation. The report was registered under number LP/B/174/IV/2025/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.
He reported Lisa for alleged violations of Article 51 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 35, Article 48 paragraphs (1), (2) in conjunction with Article 32 paragraphs (1), (2), and Article 45 paragraph (4) in conjunction with Article 27A of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
The investigation is being handled by the Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police.
This case came to light after Lisa Mariana posted a screenshot of a private conversation allegedly between herself and Ridwan Kamil on her Instagram account on March 26, 2025.
In the post, Lisa claimed to be pregnant with the former Governor of West Java's child.
