Son Heung-min: Farewell To Tottenham Is The Perfect Moment

Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min said his separation on Sunday, August 3, 2025, was the perfect moment when he ended his 10-year career at the club.

Son shows his emotions in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle United in his home country, South Korea.

He cried as he received lively applause and guard of honor from the players of both teams after he was replaced by about an hour of the club's final Asian pre-season tour.

"It was the perfect moment. Sharing these beautiful moments is something I will never forget."

"I will always appreciate it - from the fans, the players, and the coaches. He understands my situation and is always on my side."

"He always listens to me and asks what I want to do. I have great respect and are very grateful," Son said on the club's website.

Not to forget, Son Heung-min wished Spurs all the best while remembering his time in north London.

"I wish them all the best. There are five championships and I hope they win all five. That's my hope."

"The Spurs will always be in my heart and the players will always be recorded in my history books. It's amazing."

"They're going so fast, these 10 years. I can only think about beautiful moments, amazing moments," he said.

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min is one step away from joining the Los Angeles FC (LAFC). The deal has been reached even though the LAFC only provides a half-price offer offered by the Saudi Arabian club.
