Stubborn, Hundreds Of Homecomers Breaking The Lockdown In Kalimalang, Bekasi

JAKARTA - The police together with the local government are trying to implement the ban on going home in such a way. At some points on the border areas, insulation was carried out from the toll road to the rat road. However, there are still some wayward travelers.

One of the isolated travelers in Kalimalang, Bekasi. Quoted from Instagram @pojokbekasicom, hundreds of motorbike travelers who were detained by the police finally broke down.

If according to the procedure, these travelers should be asked to make a U-turn to return to their hometown. However, instead of turning back they gathered until they filled the road, so that the police could not stop them from going home.

Although some have escaped, the ban on going home is actually quite effective. This was seen when Komjen Arief together with Kakorlantas Irjen Istiono, Kakorsabhara Baharkam Inspector General Nanang Afianto, and Kakorbinmas Baharkam Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan conducted air patrols on the Trans Java route, monitoring the traffic flow to secure the elimination of Lebaran 2021 homecoming.

From the monitoring results, said Arief, the condition of vehicle traffic leaving Jakarta to Java was normal and even tended to be quiet. Arief hopes that this condition can continue until the Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah is completed.

"I was with Pak Kakorlantas and the Kakor in Baharkam carrying out air patrols to monitor the route from Jakarta to Cikampek and the situation was under control," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 7.

According to Arief, the traffic conditions that tend to be quiet indicate that the government policy on the prohibition of going home is effective. The community is said to be following the policies of the government. The policy of eliminating homecoming has been in effect from 6 to 17 May. The elimination of homecoming aims to reduce transmission of COVID-19.
