"In the future, I will definitely aim for a higher level. Super 500, 750, 1000. My target is to complete all the titles," he said in a statement received.
The final round in Macau is the first final for Alwi on the BWF World Tour stage so far on his career. It's also his third appearance in three consecutive weeks.
Before traveling to the champions, the 20-year-old badminton player played at Japan and the 2025 China Open. In a row in both tournaments, he ran aground in the second and first half.
"Today I was better at controlling the game, taking care of my emotions, and carrying out my strategy well."
"Indeed, if you look at it this week, I can be in a stable emotional condition. I learned from the previous two tournaments," said Alwi.
On the way to the final, Alwi managed to stop the second seed from India, namely Lakshya Sen. The victory occurred in the semifinals.
"My coach, Indra Wijaya really helped me. So far in the tournament, everything is in line. Our communication is also very good."
"This title is definitely for myself first. Then for parents, coaches, PBSI, Indonesian people, and for everyone I love," said Alwi.
