Pramono Judged Strange, DPRD Justri Considers The Proposed Card For Widows In Jakarta A Form Of Concern
JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Muhammad Thamrin views that the proposed Jakarta widow card rolled out by the DPRD is a form of concern for vulnerable communities.
This proposal was previously disclosed by the Gerindra faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Responding, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung assessed that the proposed widow card was strange.
"This idea is a form of concern for vulnerable groups, especially women families who often face economic, social, and psychological challenges after losing their partners," Thamrin said when contacted, Monday, August 4.
If the DKI Provincial Government is willing and willing to run this program, Thamrin said it needs to be accompanied by a strong draft and legal basis.
In addition, it is also necessary to carry out a mature budget plan that does not burden the APBD excessively and remains in accordance with the principle of efficiency.
"We also remind the importance of maintaining the social aspect and dignity of recipients, including in the choice of program names so as not to cause stigma. Data-based approaches remain the main principle in designing public policies," Thamrin explained.
Previously, the Gerindra Party faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD proposed that the DKI Provincial Government issue a social assistance program for widows who have been abandoned by their husbands.
This was conveyed by the Deputy Treasurer of the Gerindra Faction of the DKI DPRD, Jamilah Abdul Gani, in a plenary meeting of the general view of the faction of the Draft Regional Regulation on Amendments to the Regional Budget for Fiscal Year 2025.
"The Gerindra faction has asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to consider issuing a Jakarta widow card program or KJJ," said Jamilah at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 21.
Jamilah said, this proposal is an aspiration from the community that was conveyed to members of the Gerindra faction during recess activities.

However, not all widows are proposed to get a widow card. If the DKI Provincial Government agrees, the beneficiaries of the aid are women with the status of widows who are 45 years old.
Responding separately, Pramono Anung considered this a strange proposal. "It's just strange. I don't want to answer, I," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, July 23.
