TNI Mourns, Losing One Best Son, Marsma TNI Fajar Adriyanto, In FACT

JAKARTA - The TNI mourns the crash of the Microlight Fixedwing Quicksilver GT500 civilian aircraft with a PK-S126 register belonging to the Indonesian Aero Sport Federation (FASI). This accident caused Marsma TNI Fajar Adriyanto to die in the Ciampea area, Bogor Regency, Sunday, August 3.

The plane took off from Atang Sendjaja Air Base at 09.08 WIB in the context of a training mission for the progression of aerospace sports as part of coaching and maintaining capabilities. At around 09.19 WIB, the plane lost contact and was found crashed around the Astana TPU. The two crews were immediately evacuated to Dr. M Hassan Toto Hospital, but Marsma TNI Fajar was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The exercise was carried out in the capacity of Marsma TNI Fajar as a pilot and Mr. Roni as co-pilot. This activity is part of a routine training for the development of the capabilities of FASI personnel, the parent sport of the national aerospace under the guidance of the Indonesian Air Force. The flight has been equipped with a flight permit (SIT) number SIT/1484/VIII/2025 issued by Atang Sendjaja Air Base. The aircraft was declared airworthy and was the second sort of that day.

The TNI together with related regional elements have carried out evacuation and security of the scene and ensured that all handling procedures were carried out according to the provisions. Marsma TNI Fajar's body is currently at the Atang Sendjaja Air Base Hospital for further processing, while the location of the crash has been secured with a safety line by the authorities.

Marsma TNI Fajar Adriyanto graduated from AAU 1992 and an F-16 fighter with a call sign "Red Wolf". In his career, he held various strategic positions, including the Commander of Air Squadron 3, Danlanud Manuhua, Kadispenau, Kapuspotdirga, Aspotdirga Kaskoopsudnas, and finally Kapoksahli Kodiklata.

He is known as a highly dedicated figure and has become one of the important figures in the history of the Indonesian Air Force, including his involvement in air events on the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft of the United States Navy in the waters of Bawean in 2003.
