Komdigi Collaborates With Monash University Indonesia To Develop Indonesian AI Human Resources
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs strengthens its collaboration with Monash University Indonesia, in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the field of public protection, especially for women and children.
This initiative is also related to AI for Law Enforcement and Community Safety (AILECS) activities which will be held in Indonesia in April 2026.
"We give our appreciation and are ready to work together in the preparation and implementation of the AILECS," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Trade Nezar Patria in its official broadcast Sunday, August 3.
Nezar is optimistic that this activity will be a big event that will be able to attract the participation of young Indonesian digital talents and encourage the development of national AI human resources.
Later, the Indonesian AI human resources are expected to participate not only in the legal sector and policies, but also in other priority sectors.
"The form of activities can be in the form of hackathons or workshops about AI in the fields of education, health, the world of work, transportation, and others," he said.

AILECTS is a collaboration between Monash University and the Australian Federal Police, and involves a number of stakeholders in various countries inclusively.
The implementation of AILECTS activities in Indonesia is expected to be a gathering place for policy makers and stakeholders of digital and internet technology in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries to discuss the future of AI utilization in various fields.
"There will be a number of discussions about the use of AI, including education, health, and legal protection for women and children," explained Monash University Indonesia President Matthew Nicholson.
