Two-Story Shophouse Raided, Police Arrest Ormas Members In Serang Banten
The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Banten Police has succeeded in securing two suspects in a case of drug abuse of methamphetamine. The arrests were made based on public reports and the results of investigations in the Lebak Regency area.
The Director of Narcotics at the Banten Police, Kombes Pol Wiwin Setiawan, confirmed the arrest. "Based on the Police Report Number: LP/A/ / VII/2025/SPKT.DITRESNARKOBA/POLDA BANTEN, as well as information from the public, we conducted an investigation and succeeded in securing two suspects with the initials BS and DN," he said in Serang, Sunday, August 3, 2025.
The two suspects were arrested on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at around 02.00 WIB at a second-floor shophouse on Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani, Kapuagung Village, Cibadak District, Lebak Regency. Both were arrested in a condition of being caught red-handed with a number of evidences that corroborates allegations of abuse of methamphetamine.
The evidence that was secured included:
3 (bong) suction devices
4 clear plastic clips used with methamphetamine
2 matches that have been modified
1 unit of iPhone 13 Pro Max
1 unit of Infinix Hot 50 HP
2 urine pots that showed positive narcotics results for BS and DN
Suspect BS is known to be a public figure in Lebak Regency and is still active in serving in a number of community organizations (ormas) as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board. During the examination, BS admitted that he had consumed methamphetamine for the last four years, arguing to reduce pain due to gout and boost his enthusiasm for activities.
Meanwhile, suspect DN, who works as a personal driver of BS, admitted that he consumed methamphetamine because he often was with his superiors.
"The modus operandi of BS is to buy methamphetamine for Rp. 400 thousand from someone with the initials IZ, who is currently still at large and has been designated as a DPO," added Kombes Wiwin.
The two suspects were charged with Article 127 paragraph (1) letter a of Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
Closing his statement, Kombes Wiwin invited the public to continue to actively participate in fighting drugs. "The eradication of narcotics cannot be done alone. We hope that the public will continue to provide useful information to protect the nation's generation from the dangers of drugs," he said.
