Argo Bromo Anggrek Anjlok Train Impact, Two Train Trips Canceled Today

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI canceled two train trips today. The cancellation of this trip was due to the incident of the fall of train 1, Argo Bromo Anggrek train at Pegadenbaru Station on August 1, 2025.

KAI President Director Didiek Haryanto revealed that the total train trips that were canceled due to the drop in the Argo Bromo Anggrek train reached 80 for August 1 to 3.

"So, from the 1st to the 3rd, there were around 80 cancellations. On the 1st, 54 trains were canceled, 24 were on the 2nd, and today there are still 2," he said at a press conference in Gambir, Jakarta, Sunday, August 3.

Didiek said the two canceled train trips were the Malang-Bandung and Harina trains related to the Surabaya Pasarturi-Bandung.

Although two train trips were canceled today, Didiek said that in general the train journey had returned to normal.

"However, I convey to the public, today in general, train travel is back to normal," he said.

Didiek also said that the track on the Pegadenbaru Station route could be passed by the train again. However, he admitted that the speed of the train when crossing the track was still at a maximum of 60 km per hour.

"The traffic can be crossed, of course, with the limit of increasing speed. Today there is still a speed increase of up to 60 km per hour. We continue to strive for normalization so that the traffic returns to normal speed to 120 km per hour," he explained.

KAI also apologized to the people affected by the fall of the Argo Bromo Anggrek train at Pegadenbaru Station. The train tickets sold for August 1 to 3, reached 440,000.

Once again we regret the occurrence of this falling problem. We don't want this to happen, but this incident happened to all of us," he said.
