500 Business Actors To Tourism Workers In Tulungagung East Java Receive COVID-19 Vaccinations
TULUNGAGUNG - More than 500 business operators and tourism workers in Tulungagung Regency, East Java have started to undergo COVID-19 vaccination in preparation for the Lebaran 2021 holiday.
"Everyone involved in organizing tourism, starting from the manager, parking attendants, ticket guards, food vendors, basically all those involved in tourist sites must undergo vaccinations," said the Head of Tourism Development for the Tourism and Culture Office of Tulungagung Regency, Aris Wahyudiono in Tulungagung reported by Antara, Friday, May 7.
Vaccination, he said, is indeed tight with the Eid holiday schedule. However, he refused the vaccination program for tourism actors who were late, because the vaccine rations for tourism actors had just come out.
"The submission has been a long time ago, the quota has only emerged now so we are hastened. That was yesterday because of the availability of vaccines, for the tourism sector we have submitted it to the Health Office," said Aris.
This vaccination, he said, is in anticipation of a surge in tourist visits during the upcoming Eid.
Moreover, he said, it was estimated that during the ban on going home, residents tended to fill tourist sites.
Head of the Tulungagung Karsi Pokdarwis Communication Forum, Nero Sutamrin, said that the initial stage of vaccination is given to tourism activists until Saturday, May 8 tomorrow.
Even though he has received a vaccine, his party has asked tourism actors to continue to apply health protocols.
"Fixed health protocol, wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands frequently," he said.
