Ustaz Adi Hidayat Becomes A Permanent Lecturer At UPI

JAKARTA - The University of Indonesian Education (UPI) has officially appointed Ustaz Adi Hidayat as a permanent lecturer in the hope of contributing to boosting universities to further increase in world ranking.

UPI Chancellor Prof Didi Sukyadi said Adi Hidayat, who was appointed on Friday, August 1, will remain a lecturer at the UPI Graduate School Linguistic Study Program (Prodi).

"We hope that Ustaz Adi Hidayat can contribute to scientific development, especially in the linguistic field so that it is hoped that UPI will increase in world ranking," said Didi, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 2.

In his statement, Didi revealed that the entire UPI academic community welcomed Adi Hidayat's thanksgiving for joining the academic aspect, and strengthening research in linguistics at universities.

"And it is also hoped that the joining of Ustaz Adi Hidayat will be able to bring blessings to universities and contribute to the success of Asta Cita towards Indonesia Gold 2045," said Didi Sukyadi.

Meanwhile, Adi Hidayat expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the rector and all the UPI academic community for the trust given to him to participate in collective missions in education, research, and service at UPI.

Adi Hidayat revealed that many campuses asked him to teach, but he admitted that he wanted to contribute to UPI because of his label as an educational campus.

"I am very grateful to Allah SWT, to be able to join UPI because only this university has embedded education in its name. There are many campuses that ask me to teach but my heart wants to be at UPI. Hopefully, my presence can provide benefits and be part of UPI's collective efforts in producing a generation of indigenous nations through education," said Adi Hidayat.
