Jay Idzes Contested By Three Italian Serie A Clubs

JAKARTA - Indonesian national team captain Jay Idzes remains in high demand and is being sought after by many Serie A clubs. Sassuolo, Verona, and Torino are all targeting the Venezia defender.

Where Idzes will end up remains a mystery. Despite failing to secure Venezia's place and being relegated to Serie B, Idzes remains a target for clubs in Italy's top flight. The center-back has shown impressive performances.

Football Italia sources report that Verona has expressed interest in signing Idzes. However, the club has not yet followed up on Venezia's request for 10 million euros (approximately 191 billion rupiah).

Nevertheless, Verona remains a contender for other clubs interested in the Dutchman, who later played for the Indonesian national team.

Meanwhile, Sassuolo is targeting two Venezia defenders. In addition to Idzes, Sassuolo is considering Fali Cande, who also plays for Venezia.

Cande was Idzes's partner in the Venezia defense. Cande himself was on loan and then made the move permanent by Venezia.

Previously, Udinese and newly promoted Pisa also included Idzes in their transfer list. This increased the competition for the Red and Whites' mainstay defender.

Finally, Torino targeted Idzes to strengthen their defense. Torino had originally been eyeing Venezia striker Gaetano Oristanio. During negotiations for the Italian striker's transfer, Torino also included Idzes as a potential recruit.

Torino's chances of signing Idzes were quite good. However, the Granata were only able to sign Idzes after selling Saul Coco to Spartak Moscow.

Idzes's future remains uncertain. Whether he will return to Serie A or be forced to compete in Serie B and help Venezia get promoted next season.
