Online Motorcycle Taxi Driver Robbed In Menteng, NMAX Motorcycle Seized
JAKARTA - The Menteng Metro Police is hunting down the perpetrators of the robbery action against online motorcycle taxi drivers that occurred in the Tugu Tani area, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Head of Menteng Police Kompol Rohman Yongki emphasized that his party is still investigating and investigating the perpetrator's data based on CCTV monitoring.
"We are still in the process of investigating. We are also at the chase stage. We are currently investigating the data related to the investigation", said Kompol Yongki, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 7.
The police are also still investigating the characteristics of the perpetrators based on CCTV cameras and testimony from witnesses at the scene.
Based on the testimony, the police chief confirmed that the victim was not injured, but that one unit of the victim's motorcycle was seized by the perpetrator.
"There are no injuries. We are first examining the victim's statement so that there should be no miss communication. From the information, we will follow up", he said.
Previously, videos circulated on various social media showing online motorcycle taxi drivers experiencing a robbery incident at 03.00 WIB in the Tugu Tani red light area, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
In the video, online motorcycle taxi drivers claim to be victims of robbery. The black Yamaha NMAX motorbike with plate number B 5490 THG was taken away by the robbers at the Tugu Tani red light intersection.
The victim explained that the perpetrators of the robbery amounted to two people and had acted using sharp weapons. However, the victim managed to survive the robbery.
