JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, called for support for Palestinian independence for the occupation of Israel.

Megawati conveyed this call in her closing speech at the PDIP's VI Congress which was held in Bali, Saturday, August 2.

This call was also stated by Megawati while attending a dialogue forum for world civilization in Beijing, China last July. Where the forum was attended by 600 representatives from 144 countries in the world.

"I call for the independence of Palestine, which is still fighting for its basic rights as an independent and sovereign nation," said Megawati.

"Freedom !," he exclaimed.

The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia is concerned about the suffering of the Palestinian people, in which many children died as a result of being bombed by Israel. As well as the hunger that hit its citizens.

"Well, that means, sorry not, his children died because they were bombed, who brought food," he said.

Megawati also condemned Israel's inhumane actions. He could not even imagine the suffering of the Palestinian people whose blood was spilled with blood.

"That's called Jahiliah's instincts. Imagine it or not, I can't imagine it," said Megawati.
