Celebrating 55 Years in Indonesia, Mitsubishi Fuso Holds the 2025 Bodywork Awards to Promote National Bodywork Industry Standardization
TANGERANG – To commemorate its 55th anniversary in Indonesia, PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), held the Fuso Karoseri Award 2025 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. This event served as a tangible token of appreciation for the bodywork industry players who have been crucial partners in Mitsubishi Fuso's success in Indonesia.
Held on Wednesday, July 30th, the awards ceremony was attended by 23 selected bodywork companies that had gone through a rigorous selection process. The selection process involved technical evaluations and production observations conducted since April 2025, narrowing the field down to a total of 30 bodywork companies.
"Mitsubishi Fuso's success in Indonesia is inseparable from strategic collaborations with body builders. Our best chassis, combined with the best-quality bodywork from all our partners, creates a reliable commercial vehicle that excels in the eyes of consumers," said Aji Jaya, Sales and Marketing Director of KTB, in his remarks.
This event served not only as an awards ceremony but also as a forum for education and synergy. Participants were invited to visit the Mitsubishi Fuso assembly facility at PT Krama Yudha Ratu Motor in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, to observe firsthand the production process and quality assurance implemented in each vehicle.
Before the awards ceremony, participants attended a technical seminar featuring speakers from the Ministry of Transportation and the KTB. One of the topics highlighted was vehicle design policies and regulations, presented by Heri Prabowo, Head of the Motor Vehicle Type Testing Subdirectorate. Participants also received updates on developments in vehicle body technology and plans for ongoing collaboration between KTB and its bodywork partners.
The event culminated at the Mitsubishi Fuso booth at GIIAS 2025, where the best bodybuilders received trophies and official certificates from KTB. This certification is valid for two years and demonstrates that the bodybuilders have met Mitsubishi Fuso's high standards.
Silvy Sabur from Karoseri Indo Saluyu expressed her pride and appreciation for this initiative. He stated that Mitsubishi Fuso, particularly the Canter model, is a vital part of their daily operations. "We are very familiar with the Canter, as 60% of our customers use it. From the chassis to the platform, we know it by heart," he said.
Syaifuddin Tangka, Director of PT Metalindo Teknik Utama from Karawang, echoed this sentiment. "The already good coordination with Mitsubishi Fuso must continue to be improved. Ultimately, customer satisfaction is the primary goal—for both body builders and ATPMs," he emphasized.
Through the Fuso Karoseri Award 2025, KTB hopes that synergy with body builder partners can continue to grow to build a professional, high-standard, and sustainable commercial vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.
