Weather In Most Regions In Indonesia Potentially Light Intensity Rain This Saturday

JAKARTA - Weather in most areas in Indonesia has the potential to rain with light intensity this Saturday according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

"Today it is predicted to be cloudy in Banda Aceh City, then light rain in Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang and Tanjung Pinang cities," said Prakirawan Zhenny Husna on the BMKG Youtube channel, in Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 2.

Weather is forecasted to be thick cloudy in Bandar Lampung City.

Meanwhile, light rain has the potential to fall in the cities of Bengkulu, Jambi, Palembang, and Pangkal Pinang.

"Starting to Java, it is predicted that it will be cloudy in the cities of Jakarta, Semarang, and Yogyakarta," he said.

BMKG predicts that thick clouds will cover the cities of Serang and Surabaya.

Meanwhile, light rain is predicted to fall in the city of Bandung.

Forecasted weather or fog for the islands of Bali and Nusa Tenggara in Mataram City, as well as light rain in Denpasar City and Kupang City.

"Then for Kalimantan Island, today the weather in Palangka Raya, Samarinda, and Tanjung Selor is forecasted to rain with light intensity," he said.

The public is asked to be aware of rainy weather accompanied by lightning in the cities of Banjarmasin and Pontianak.

Furthermore, for Sulawesi Island, it is predicted that thick clouds will blanket Makassar, Gorontalo, and Manado cities today.

Then light rain is predicted to fall in Kendari City.

Mamuju City is predicted to rain with moderate intensity.

BMKG asked the public to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Palu City.

For eastern Indonesia, BMKG predicts rainy weather or fog in Sorong City.

Light rain is predicted in the cities of Ambon, Ternate, Manokwari, Nabire, Jayapura, and Jayawijaya.

Meanwhile, the weather in Merauke City has the potential to rain with moderate intensity.
