Sugiono Visits Ministry Of Law And Human Rights After Determining To Be Secretary General Of Gerindra
JAKARTA - Sugiono visited the office of the Ministry of Law after he was officially appointed as Secretary General of the Gerindra Party's Central Executive Board (DPP) replacing Ahmad Muzani.
The foreign minister was seen visiting Graha Pengayoman of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Jakarta, Friday, August 1 night.
After a while, Sugiono was escorted by the Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas who is also a Gerindra Party politician to his car.
To reporters, Sugiono did not reveal the contents of his meeting with the Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman.
He hopes to carry out the duties and trusts given by the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto. "We hope to carry out this task with full responsibility as well as possible," he said.
According to Sugiono, being Secretary General of the Gerindra Party is not an easy task. Moreover, the previous secretary general, namely Ahmad Muzani, had served for a dozen years for the party.
"This is not a light task. During these 18 years, the Gerindra Party has been appointed by Mr. Ahmad Muzani and he has left a long achievement in every election for the Gerindra Party. I think that is also something I must guide so that in the future it can be even better," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Sugiono did not specify Prabowo Subianto's special message to himself as the new secretary general. He only said, "We carry out our duties as well as possible with full responsibility and trust."
