Bantul Earthquake Tonight, Magnitude 2.9
JAKARTA - An earthquake occurred in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), towards midnight. A number of people claimed to feel the tremors of the earthquake.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) explained that the Bantul earthquake occurred at 23.00 WIB, Friday, August 1.
The location is in 8.07LS, 110.41BT (19 km Southeast of BANTUL-DIY).
"The depth of the Bantul earthquake is 12 kilometers," said BMKG information from the X account @infoBMKG.
There have been no reports of the impact of the Bantul earthquake tonight.
