Through The Long Drama, Finally All Residents Of Kampung Bayam Sign KSB Residential Contracts

JAKARTA - All residents of the former Kampung Bayam have now signed a contract to inhabit the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) which is located next to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

On Tuesday, July 29, 67 former families of Kampung Bayam have signed a contract to agree to occupy KSB. Then on Thursday, August 1, 35 families of the Tani Group, Kampung Bayam Madani, followed after studying the contents of the contract.

North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat claimed that the entire process of placing Bayam Village residents to JIS HPPO was the mandate of DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung who wanted to humanize humans in Jakarta.

"I am obliged under Governor Pramono Anung to ensure that you get the right to live a decent and better life," Hendra told reporters, Friday, August 1.

Previously, when residents began to sign a contract, the Kampung Bayam Madani Farmers Group admitted that they still doubted the contents of the contract made by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the manager.

In the new contract, the Mayor of North Jakarta determined the number of families accommodated to inhabit the KSB from the Madani Bayam Village Farmers Group as many as 23 families. Meanwhile, Furqon felt that his group had 35 families. Two days later, Furqon's wish and his group was fulfilled by the DKI Provincial Government.

"We residents of Kampung Bayam consider Governor Pramono Anung as our father, our father, and we are the residents of his son," said Furqon after signing the contract.

The process of placing the residents of Kampung Bayam to KSB has gone through a long drama. Initially, KSB was founded by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in October 2022.

After Anies stepped down, there was a dispute between Jakpro and the residents regarding the KSB rental rate. Because it did not reap an agreement, Jakpro intends to divert KSB as a residence for JIS operational support workers.

The fate of the residents of Kampung Bayam is increasingly hanging until the 2024 Pilkada period. At that time, Pramono made a political contract with the Tani Group of Kampung Bayam Madani to seek KSB as a residence for the residents of Kampung Bayam.

Until Pramono served as Governor of DKI, a ceremony was held to symbolically hand over the key to KSB housing to the Madani Bayam Village Farmers Group in March 2025. After almost 5 months had passed, finally all residents of Kampung Bayam had received certainty that they could inhabit KSB.
